Gay Games VIII in Cologne, GermanyWith Olympic fever (and Johnny Weir’s media storm) wrapping up, we turn our sights to this year’s Gay Games VIII, which will take place in Cologne, Germany, from July 31-August 7, 2010. Some members of the Hudson Valley LGBTQ Center will be participating, and they are looking to see if more LGBTQ and allied athletes from our region plan to do likewise.

Achieve Your Personal Best
The Gay Games, unlike the Olympic Games, enable people from all walks of life to compete against each other, regardless of skill level, age or physical challenge. Participants do not have to be champion athletes, nor do they have to be LGBTQ; they simply are asked to strive to achieve their personal best, and enjoy the amazing experience. For more information about the Games, check out www.games-cologne.com. To get in touch with local participants, contact Lance at l.ringel@lgbtqcenter.org.
