Last Leg of Hudson Valley Restaurant Week.
Belly up to some of the best cuisine the Hudson Valley has to offer.  The festival is offering 3-course lunch menus for $20.09 (at participating locations) and dinner menus for $28.09.  Make your reservations now and be sure to bring home the leftovers – the festival ends Sunday.

Singer songwriter Lisa Barile performs, Pawling, NY
Singer songwriter Lisa Barile (stage name is Lisa Bari) will be performing with bass player Peter Weiss  at 9pm as the opening act for Howard Fishman at The Towne Crier Cafe.  The genre Lisa writes and sings in is a fusion of jazz and blues.  She has performed for the community for the past five years with Purple Rose.

Committee on LGBT Concerns, Poughkeepsie, NY
The Episcopal Diocese of New York is hosting an opening meeting of the LGBT Concerns Committee.  This is the first meeting of the Committee to be held outside of Manhattan.  Anyone interested in the ministry of the Episcopal Church in the arena of LGBT rights and concerns is invited to attend.  The meeting will begin at 1:00pm at the Christ Episcopal Church.  For directions click here.

Crazy Hat Bingo, High Falls, NY
Each year, more and more bingo players pack the house with hats ranging from the artistic to the outrageous–every one unforgettable. This year, some very delicious hors d’oeuvres, dinner delectables and desserts will be served and soft drinks will be provided.  BYOB is encourages (attendees must be 21 or over).  The event is hosted by the High Falls Civic Association (HFCA). $20 ($10 for seniors 60 and over and students) includes bingo games and food.  Community notable judges will do the judging. Numbers will be called by HFCA president, Stephen Gilman.

Prizes will be awarded in many categories including Most Humorous, Most Stylish, Most Environmentally Friendly, Most Economically Stimulating, Most Local Flavor and Best Couple.This much-anticipated annual event is kicking off at 7pm at the Marbletown Community Center on Rt. 209 in Stone Ridge.  For information or for reservations: info@highfallscivic.org and 845-399-9300.
