Big Gay Hudson Valley is proud to announce the return of our Queen City Pride celebration the weekend of June 12th, 13th & 14th. The much-loved Queen annual City Pride Community Picnic will be returning to the Locust Grove Historic Estate along with two all-new, not-to-be-missed events held in Poughkeepsie, NY – the “Queen City of the Hudson River”.
All are invited to join BGHV in the “Queen City of the Hudson Valley” for these fabulous happenings:

Warm summer nights and the smell of the grill can only mean one thing – summer! Kick off Queen City Pride weekend with Big Gay Hudson Valley and the crew from Mill House Brewing Company at our open-air Barbecue Bash. We’ll have loads of delicious eats, locally-brewed beer, games and live music – all from the heart of the Queen City. Help us paint the town pink by wearing Queen City Pride’s signature color.

QCP-2015-Sat-Half-Moon-Ball-for-BGHV

Four hundred years ago Henry Hudson sailed up the river that now bares his name in a ship called the Half Moon. In the spirit of his ship’s name, we’re encouraging everyone to wear their most outlandish and fabulous black and/or white outfits for a night of dancing under the disco ball in The Chance’s historic art deco-inspired vaudeville theater. With multiple on-stage DJ’s, multiple on-fire go-go dancers, and a burlesque act or two thrown into the mix, the only question left is “what are you going to wear?”

Big Gay Hudson Valley’s 7th annual summer pride picnic is back and better than ever! We’ll be returning to the fabulous grounds of the historic Locust Grove Estate with the biggest and gayest BYO picnic of the summer season. This perennial favorite will feature live entertainment, drag bingo, lawn games and community groups all gathered in celebration of the Hudson Valley LGBTQ community and our allies.
