Hello Everyone, and happy Friday. Sorry we’re one day late with Big Gay Weekend this week. If you have been following along through the blog, you likely know that our wedding in Amsterdam is coming up fast and furious! In fact, we leave next Tuesday, July 28th… with only 4 days remaining… we are simply running out of time to get everything ready!

Word on the street is that the City of Amsterdam is going to stream the ceremony live to the internet. We don’t have the URL yet, although we will be sure to post it to BGHV as soon as we know the address. However, be sure to set your alarm clocks: in New York, the ceremony will happen at 7:15am on Saturday. August 1st.
We also picked up our wedding rings yesterday, and Patrick wore his “Marriage is so Gay” shirt in their honor. Like the shirt? You can purchase one here, or pick one up at your local HRC retail shop. Each purchase helps to support Marriage Equality efforts from coast-to-coast.
If you like the rings, check out the website of the local artist that made them; her name is Shana Lee, and she is based in Red Hook, with a studio store in Hudson, NY. She’s fantastic, and has an amazing collection of jewelry that is all her own work.
Since we’ll be away from July 28th to August 4th, things are going to be a bit quiet on BGHV and we won’t be publishing BGHV Weekend next week. But, stay tuned, we’ll be back up and posting soon.
