BGHV Weekend June 24thHey there Big Gay Hudson Valley readers! A H-U-G-E ball of thanks coming your way to the nearly 1,000 people who came out to support our great friend, Trixie Starr, as she flawlessly hosted the first annual City of Hudson Pride last weekend. BGHV was there with our Mid-Hudson Bridge float and marched down Warren Street with the best & brightest of the Valley’s LGBT community and its supporters. In case you haven’t checked them out, pics of the event are up on Facebook, so take a peek and stay tuned for updates about the sure-to-come 2nd annual event next year.

This Friday is the long-anticipated “All Love, All Woodstock” party in (appropriately enough) Woodstock. Billed as a night of “Peace, Love, Music…and Tolerance”, this benefit for the ACLU and Constance McMillen (of Mississippi prom fame) will boast cocktails and hors d’oeuvre from many of the areas best restaurants, a high-end live auction, and plenty of great live music. At only $50 a ticket, this event will absolutely be well worth it – both as a benefit contribution and an investment in a guaranteed good time.

This weekend will also round out the 2010 Pride season (in the Empire State anyway), as NYC hosts their annual Pride Parade. In addition to that, there’s plenty going on here in the Valley, so hit up our community calendar and Stay A ‘Mo In The Know!

(P.S. – don’t miss our buddy, Richard Prouse, in his role as the Wicked Witch of the West in the Center for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck’s showing of The Wizard of Oz – opening this weekend and running through July 11!)
