dscn9737Yes, it’s been an exciting week here in the Empire State! Last night the New York State Assembly passed the Marriage Equality Amendment, and now it’s off the New York Senate. According to New York State Senate Majority Leader, Malcolm Smith, the bill does not have the 32 votes necessary for passage – so now its more important than ever to take 2 minutes to contact your State Senator. Want to learn more? Check out the Marriage Equality NY Website, or the website for the Empire State Pride Agenda.

It’s a BIG GAY couple of day coming up here in the Hudson Valley, and with so many events happening tomorrow night, we decided to send out BGHV Weekend a day early so that everyone can enjoy the wide variety of upcoming events.

Did I say “Upcoming Events”? That reminds me; the Friday, May 29th Pride Preview Party at Locust Grove is now just 15 days away! We recently updated the event page on Big Gay Hudson Valley.com, and added new details about the event, an option to order your picnic dinner for the Artist’s Palate, and even a Big Gay Discount on wine for this B.Y.O. event from Arlington Wine & Liquor – if you have not revisited the page, please check it out now.
