The Monday following our candlelight vigil for Marriage Equality in New Paltz, I received a call from Susan Barnett of WAMC Northeast Public Radio. She wanted to know more about the importance of the vote that we had hoped would come last Tuesday, but alas did not. Hopefully it will come soon.

This new Gay Bar fits in your pocket, is made completely of chocolate, and promotes the Hudson Valley as a queer destination to chocolate lovers nationwide!

Capturing the essence of the classic Manhattan cocktail, this 69% cacao bar is infused with a combo of @coppersea.distilling rye & sweet vermouth and then dusted with dehydrated tart black cherries.

Hudson Valley chocolate lovers can taste the new collaboration and purchase their own Gay Bar on Saturday, April 20th from 2pm to 5pm during a special tasting event at Fruition Chocolate Works in Shokan, NY.

The Gay Bar retails for $12 and is available on Fruition Chocolate Works’ website, at Big Gay Hudson Valley events, and at select retailers in the Hudson Valley and nationwide. A portion of the proceeds from each Gay Bar sold will benefit Hudson Valley organizations working to better the lives of Upstate New York’s vibrant LGBTQ+ community.
